I have never purchased makeup based on advertising until now. I purchased Cover Girl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation because of Ellen Degeneres. How cool and gorgeous is she?

I can't figure out how to open it. Why oh why would you package makeup for old farts in a child-proof container?

I found a video clip online of Ellen showing people how to open it on her show. I have no sound on this computer, but clearly it was a funny segment because she was quite over the top about it physically. Whew! I'm not the only one.

I use Olay Definity cleanser and Total Effects moisturizer, plus the Age Defying eye gel. For makeup, I use Make Up For Ever mat velvet liquid OR their Duo Mat powder, depending on what season it is.

I'm iffy about Cover Girl...it has always turned orange on me, no matter what shade I try. I am very pale, and orange doesn't work well.

6. Precisely why I was a little hesitant. Very pale and CG has a tendency to...

go orange. I usually buy the lightest shade, decided to try one darker and should have gone one more shade darker. Who knew?

I'll give you a verdict later on after I've worn it for awhile.

10. Take it back and exchange it for the shade you need.

Tell them that the color didn't come out the same as it shows on the package. I have a skin shade that's difficult to match too, I've done this a few times at a few different places and no one never had a problem with exchanging it.

Thanks. I'll stick to my vegan makeup. Being able to open the containers is just one more advantage.

It's not exactly intuitive and requires a great deal of elbow grease accompanied by fear you're going to break the silly thing.

9. The thing about my Make Up For Ever makeup...

is that the cap for the tube of liquid pops right off with a twist, and the compact for the powder pops right open and closes with a magnet. :D
