We Need a Lounge RoboCop or Rescue Squad.

Not a week goes by I don't see a thread here in the Lounge that is so relevant that it ought to be in one of the so-called important forums like LBN, or (more commonly) GD or some other forum.

It makes me crazy to see vitally important ideas here in the Lounge and nobody ever recommends them or suggests they be cross posted.

This suggestion will probably go against what we consider common sense, where we ordinarily ignore, lock or transfer "frivolous" posts in GD or other serious forums and sluff them off to the lounge.

I think we need a team of vigilant Robocops here at DU who will locate important Lounge posts, lock them, and move them by force, if necessary, to General Discussion or the important forums where they are pertinent and ought to be appreciated for what they are.

Maybe I'm getting mawkish at my old age, but I see important discussions here that ought not be relegated to "The Lounge," and would probably elicit better responses were they permitted in the forums DUers seem to take more seriously (sadly to say, that is).

Were Einstein alive, he would be posting in the lounge.
