1. There's very little that terrifies me.
There are many things that I have a healthy respect for.
But giving me the screaming heeby jeebies, no.

2. Fear is the mind killer.
I wonder if Paul had peed himself during the box ritual, what they would have done.

Hmmmm.

3. "Hmmm", though the Reverend Mother, "He endured more than any girl child,
but he also pissed himself... I'm not sure where this falls in the spectrum".

4. A missing exceprt from God Emperor of Dune:
Duncan's outburst so surprised Leto that he involuntarily pissed himself. Immediately the sandtrout shifted to surround and isolate the offending liquid. Leto squirmed as the sandtrout squeezed the meager remnants of his shriveled penis.
No! he thought, as if trying to communicate with the creatures that made up his new skin. That's not the golden path we need to worry about!

6. What about an entirely rational fear of snakes?
An irrational fear of snakes would be "What if snakes are sneaking into my house while I'm at work and hacking Pentagon web sites with my home computer?" whereas my fear of snakes is more like "Jesus Christ, those fuckers might bite me!"

9. No such thing as a rational fear of snakes.
There can be a rational respect for the danger of a poisonous snake, but there is no need to fear the snake itself.
