BREAKING on CNN: Oceanic Flight 815 disappears over Pacific
Just tuned to CNN to hear them talking about a flight from Australia to LA disappearing somewhere over the Pacific. Wolf is saying that it veered 1623 miles off course before disappearing off the radar. The US and Australian Navies are dispatching 42 ships to look for it.

7. Sad news. The wreckage has been found
Purported wreckage of Flight 815 was discovered by remote operated vehicles deployed by a salvage ship, the Christiane I, in the Sunda Trench of the Indian Ocean near the Indonesian island of Bali, about 2800 miles north-west of Sydney 90 degrees out from the flight's presumed route north-east to Los Angeles.

Footage of the bodies of crew members and passengers were released to the media for television broadcast, and an information hotline for their family members was established by the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.

9. yeah, my uncle's wife's sister's friend knows a guy on the flight
and she didn't see him in those pictures. Surprising that they found the wreckage so soon after it disappeared....

40. I blame the Irish.
Not that I think the Irish are smart enough to have had anything to do with it; but that I think the pilots got to the point of (correct) hopelessnes of knowing that the world is not going to exterminate the Irish, and so, one must ask, "What's the point of living if the Irish are going to be allowed to drag down the world's collective conscious by continuing to live".

I got stood up for a date. Really hot Iraqi guy who told me he'd "take me out" when he got back. I know he wouldn't tell me what he does for a living, but he still didn't seem like the kind of guy who'd just not show up and not call, y'know?
