I was cleaning up my myspace inbox... found this poem I'd written April 17, 2007
"About Her "

I've never written about her
and I am not even sure why

I've never talked about her eyes..
bright, blue, knowing

She stood in the doorway
her hair seemed on fire

In the end
killed by desire

I've never written about any of the good
She knew there was gentleness
She understood

Intelligence cannot begin to describe
the light behind her eyes
she knew more than I ever
would

The morning she left
seemed like any other
I didn't know
It didn't show

And even now
after so much time
its difficult to find
words

In a dream she appeared
in white
at peace
surrounded by light

Funny, I don't remember her
eyes in that dream
and I'm reminded
things are seldom as they
seem

She did know how to love
and learn
and give
and though she died young
she lived

I miss her

1. Thank you
Thank you for sharing -- memory of love and loss. We all have memories such as these, but rarely do we have the courage to share them. The tenderness of love and the pain of loss come through. Your words touched me, caused me to think, and to respond.

Again, thank you.

Peace.

3. My dear Haole Girl...
This is really exquisite.

I'm especially drawn to this stanza:

She did know how to love
and learn
and give
and though she died young
she lived

I miss her

Thank you so much, sweetie!

4. Aw, Peggy...
that was my mom. She truly knew how to love. Not everyone knows how, you know?
I think I better be getting some rest. G'night.
