Am sure it's some sort of telemarketing, or other crap, using the number to hide from the DNC registry am on.

They just called a few minutes ago and my new answering machine message says:

<several clicking sounds like a phone tap> (pause) FCC (pause) Connect ***beep***

So far no call back, but if they do, am ready with Susan Boyle singing "I Dreamed A Dream" on full volume.
If that doesn't settle their kettle to stop the calls, nuthin' will!

have been ignored all week here (except for WCGreen ;) )

I was going to post about my job interview I had on Wednesday for a SpEd Elementary, and ask for the famous Lounge vibes, but since I don't post much lately becasue of too much SpEd work, overtired and also just barely making it financially, i really haven't had the energy to post much at all anyway.

Good news is that I am in competition with only one other teacher for this position (a man), and I'll hear back within about 2 weeks or less if they want a second interview. Meanwhile, am headed out to mail my follow up Thank You card and note to the interview team.

5. I feel terrible that you were ignored here when discussing such an important issue

as interviewing for a teaching job, particularly for special ed students.

Teachers, IMO, are the most important people in the world. At least they have been for me.

6. A story:

I left a message with a company that makes scooters several years ago when I was shopping for one. These are those scooters that people with mobility impairments use for getting around. I wanted information about their products.

Then I started getting a whole lot of calls from 000-000-0000, and they never left any messages on my machine. I screen my calls, so I never answered those calls and never realized who was calling me or why. It was pissing me off that some shitty-ass company was calling me several times per day. This went on for 2 years!

I picked up the phone on the first ring one day a few months ago because I was expecting an urgent call, and it was this company. They wanted to give me information about their scooters. I told them they were two years too late. I had upgraded to an electric wheelchair and purchased one from their competitor.

The sales rep was IRATE because I apparently I was wrong for not taking their call and giving them a chance to get the business.

I told him that they were wrong for calling me thousands of times and not bothering to leave me a message telling me who the fuck they were and what they wanted. If they had left me even one message they might have had the business. They lost a sale by by being stupid annoying fucks.

The sales rep hung up on me, mad at me and convinced that I was somehow wrong. They still call me regularly and don't leave any message. I'm apparently on their call list for life.

No more calls...yet :scared:


But, am so waiting to either RickRoll them or give'em a dose of Susan Boyle to make'em back off and behave :evilgrin:
