Do ya think a Democrat lives here??

This is the wall of my garage.

This is my collection of buttons and signs over the years. I finally have a place to put them.

If you look close you can see a few that might not be DU approved.

1. Just slice Lieberman's name out of that one.
;)

I may still have a Mondale button around here somewhere.

4. I had a Mondale/Ferrarro sign ...
But it got messed up. I had to throw it out.

I should take closer pics of some of the buttons.

I have a Nixon/Agnew button ..... sorry but I was only 12. But it's next to my McGovern one.

A lot of my collection come from my days in San Francisco.

I have a button from 1984 that was for Cityhood for West Hollywood. I love that one too.

7. I was in college in MN in 1984 -
A Democrat named Joan Growe was challenging Republican Senator Rudy Boschwitz for his US Senate seat. She held a rally on campus and gave out campaign buttons. I worked in the kitchen at the dining hall - I spent a lot of time that night pulling pins out of baked potatoes. I didn't know what to do with them, so I brought them back to my room and left them in a pile on top of my dresser.

One of my dorm neighbors came in, saw the buttons, and was horrified. She clutched her chest in dramatic fashion and said, "Joan Growe? You know she's a....Democrat, don't you?"

6. Story behind the Clinton/Gore - Boxer/Feinstien one ...
I had that plastered on the back of my scooter when I was in SF and in college. I took that one and the "Out Bush" sign and stapled them together and was on 18th and Castro the night of the election. Damn that was a good night. Just as good as when Obama won!

You'll note I don't have any "No on 8" stuff ... sorry but I still feel that the people that ran that let us down. I want my money back!
