Poll question: Saturday Night "What's Your Favorite Herb" poll
I know, I know - you were expecting something about boring guys with no hair, but no. THIS is the poll you've been waiting for (operators are standing by).

WHAT is your favorite herb?

I made a 16' x 4' x 1' herb box for my wife this year and it is already growing things. She's - well, okay, she WOULD be orgasmic about it except that she's exhausted and passed out at the moment. To be fair, we also put in a bunch of perennials today. I'm tired too but I have to pick the kids up before I can crash out.

Geeze we're getting to be old farts. It isn't even 8:30!!!!

1. I grow herbs in pots on the patio. Sage has a really pretty red flower, so I voted for that.
We don't really use all the herbs I grow, but I just like them. I guess I use dill the most, but it self-seeds and comes up every year.

2. Just watch out for the mints and corriander/cilantro!!!!
We've got a permanent infestation of cilantro/corriander in the rose beds because we parked a container there for a few days (bad move). The banana mint owns the entire front right corner of the house. You can't get rid of some things - they need containers OUT WHERE YOU USE A LAWNMOWER!

4. Chives, because of how in many studies they are successful in killing cancer

cells of many types, more than I ever imagined.

I thought Kale was the most virulent vegetable when it came to destroying cancer cells, but to my complete shock it turned out to be green onions.

Now I buy eight bunches a week and try to consume them every day.

(I tried Kale and couldn't stand it.)

EDIT:

If Broccoli had been on the list, I would have voted for it over green onions.
