Did anyone else watch 'Grey Gardens' on HBO tonight?
I just watched it, and thought both Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore were perfection playing Big Edie and Little Edie. I loved how the presentation this evening gave more background to how they both came to be living in the circumstances shown in the original documentary. I'm sure that this movie will be sure to get some Emmys come award season; it was that good, IMO.

2. I missed the start of it! Hubby and I were watching a DVD and "Grey Gardens"
was half way through when our movie ended!

I hope they replay it several times this week so I can catch it from the beginning.

8. apparently, there's also a follow-up documentary also by the Maysles
to the original 'Grey Gardens'. I'm not sure if its made up of left-out bits of the original documentary, or if they went back and filmed additional footage. However, I have it on my Netflix queue, and am looking forward to seeing more of Big and Little Edie!

I thought both Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore NAILED 'the Edie's!! they were fabulous...

10. Yes, just watched it for a second time, actually.
Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore were just wonderful. The Beales were certainly strong women. It made me sad.
