We left at 530am and got home at midnight. We ended our day there at an Irish pub with live music. She was having such a good time!

23. The "I AM the doorbell", are the kind my 20 pound pooch wants to take on.

I've bailed him out of that a couple times. Thank god both parties had our dogs on leashes.

With mine, I'm like WTF?!?! Are you suicidal? He'd take on a bear. Gawd, he's an idiot sometimes.

58. It's called Little Big Dog Syndrome

My Benson (Yorkie/Maltese mix) was like that. He was something else. He thought he could take on the world. My family said he had my personality in a little tiny dog. The thing with Little Big Dog Syndrome is that they don't know or care that they are small. They just know they'll fight to the death.

If you watch Labyrinth sometime soon, look for Sir Didymus, who guards the Bog of Eternal Stench. That was what Benson looked and acted like his entire life. He was my little shadow.

He'd also run around and play a lot when I played punk rock, but if country music came on during a TV show (the only way it'd get played around here for the most part), he'd growl like crazy. Even if he was asleep, he'd growl. He absolutely HATED country music.

He made the miniature schnauzer I had at the time kneel down to play with him. He was THAT powerful for a dog half the size of the miniature schnauzer. He was something else. I'll never forget that dog. He lived to be 17 years old. He was still raring to go even then, but he died anyhow. I miss my dogs.

And I sure agree. Jackie only has me, since he lost his big buddy ;(, treats me pretty much like another chew toy, without other canine companionship... :(

So I tried to remind him of what he learned in doggy class, had him sit and then put out my hand and said "down," but he offered me his paw, instead. I'd nearly forgotten that he learned that from the other hooman in his "pack..." :loveya:



This is such a terrific collection and Pool Hall Ace must be another kindred spirit... ;)
