No adult was to be found.

Both boy and girl were arguing.

Which could be heard all the way down the aisle.

(Think an aisle 50 feet long because this is a big grocery store.)




And they were bickering back and forth, in an exchange that was virtually identical to this -- Shakespeare and Bacon would be proud:

"You farted!"
"I did not! You did!"
"No, you farted!"
"I wasn't farting, you were!"
...
Ad infinitum.

Now if that story doesn't put all those kitten threads on DU in their place, nothing will.
