Should I buy the Mac of my dreams, sell off my PC, then pay off the balance leisurely because of the 0% APR (but monthly and obey the stipulations of the 2 year 0% offer)?

1. As somebody who bought a previous generation MacPro last month
Go for it!

Did I need a MacPro? Probably not, I could have gotten away with a 24" iMac, but I didn't want to deal with external drives, and I got the machine for a very good price since the new machines were already shipping. As soon as the machine was delivered, I cloned the boot drive onto a 1Tb drive using SuperDuper and immediately archived the drive that shipped with the machine. I then pulled the two drives from my older PowerMac and put them into the new machine, along with one of my other SATA drives that had been in an external enclosure. I also popped another 4Gb of memory in, bringing my total to 6Gb (for now).

The two 500Gb drives from the old machine will be put out to pasture, as I replace them with bigger drives.

Is it the Mac of my dreams, not quite, I wasn't willing to spend as much as Apple wanted for the 3rd gen MacPro, but it's a machine that will serve me very well over the coming years.

2. Yes.
You have a PC?

Yes, sell it off, you won't be sorry. But DO get 3-year AppleCare.
