Goodbye to my little bunny boy, Harry. You were a joy to have in our lives.
The day you came to us you were thin and needed help.

You really enjoyed our backyard.

You had a ball in your cage and loved to get treats.

You loved to play in the kitchen with your boxes and paper towel tubes and the canvas grocery bag.

You were a good little boy and a joy to watch play. You will be missed.

Harry passed at 4:30 PM today, he had to have surgery on an abscess he had develop on his jaw, and his little body could not take the surgery. He will be missed and we hope he enjoys playing with our Tiger girl, in heaven.

We Love You.

Goodbye Harry.

We have a little black bunny that showed up in our yard four years ago. Some @#$% probably dumped him in the neighborhood. He's a sweetie.

Our bunny looks like this:

7. The only time I cried was when our bunny died suddenly,
and I don't understand it yet. SO sweet.

11. He looks a lot like ours (who will be 3 in July)
Clouseau was wounded (we think his mother tried to kill him) and had no fear of anything - including our dogs. I took him in when he was small enough to fit in a slotted spoon, just to keep him alive. He is the sweetest thing (but you understand). We discovered much later that he's a hermaphrodite - two vaginas with a penis in the middle. He has a similar face, sort of smushed in, at least with respect to the other rabbits around here where the faces are rather long (PA). He has nasal breathing problems but is otherwise very healthy. Something would have eaten him if I hadn't taken him - and that was easy since he didn't have a "run" instinct. But he is EXCEPTIONALLY clean - that's a good instinct to still have.

You didn't mention it, and I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old was Harry?

Please accept my sincere condolences. I shed a lot of tears just writing this. I think I'll give Clouseau a few extra yogurt drops tonight.

13. We don't know how old he was.
When he showed up in our yard he was thin and I have come to suspect that he was starved with the person who had him before. SO he may be older than we thought. We figured he was 1 or 2 when he showed up, but he could have been older. So any where from 5 to 8 years of age.

20. That's a pretty healthy age.
I gave Clouseau a lot of extra cuddles last night. It at least made me feel better and he never minds the attention.

There is a reason that wild critters in need seek out specific people - they seem to instinctively know those of us who will love and care for them.

26. I am sorry for the loss of your bunny.
I had a bunny years ago and it was a wonderful pet. Pax would sit on my chest and lick my nose. A bunny is a very good pet and much more loving than people realize.
