In what feels like a past era (a number of years ago), I spent a lot of time with folks in here. I miss it, and you. I don't even know if anyone here remembers me. But even if you don't, HELLO and Good Evening to you.

11. The first bush pres recession

moved me to grad school - back in the early 90s. That degree and the work that followed before the next two recessions (esp this bushjr recession) has given me security. Not a bad way to go. Sorry about the 'looking for a job' status. :hug:

12. One of those 'hot and cold' things

Cold - I don't have much of a life - am working 60-75 hours a week at one job; Hot - while it exhausts me, I love my work and have (for now) job security.

I hope that you know that you have a very special place in my heart. On one particular battlefield (ala flame wars) which can be personally painful - you have always been one of the most vocal and supportive people. You are a gem of a person.

More importantly I hope that you are doing well. Your strength has long been an inspiration to me.

19. I'm trying to do well.

I'm still sinking downward, losing more function slowly but steadily. And I'm trying to round up friends to help me move, because I can't move myself. So I'm really busy with stuff I can't do. It's incredibly frustrating. I'm waiting for my social security disability and long term disability insurance to kick in so I can get off of public assistance and stop eating ramen noodles. But any bureaucracy that is supposed to help you is guaranteed to be slow. :(

But life goes on, so it's not all bad. :)

I do have friends coming to help me. I need to appreciate that. No matter how isolated I feel, it isn't nearly as bad as it could be so I need to appreciate how good it is. :)
