Why do I watch a movie that I know I'll be bawling like a little baby at the very end. Not like I haven't seen this before (hell I have it on DVD).

And I can't believe it was over 15 years ago that this movie first came out (1993).

I'm not the biggest Steven Spielberg fan but this film was all around legenday.

1. Very compelling movie.
Even though the subject is pretty depressing...I find the overall storyline very uplifting. Without a doubt to me, its Spielberg's best piece of work.
To this day I still get a bit of a chill when I say Ray Fiennes..He just played his character to evil perfection..

3. The first time I ever saw that movie, I was in college
I saw it at a one o'clock showing. I cried so hard, I couldn't see to drive home (my roommate had to drive home). Movie got out about 4pm. I cried for another hour. I called my parents still crying later that night wanting to know what was wrong with humanity that people could do this to other human beings. It was the beginning of a new quarter and I had a biology lab that night at 6pm. I wore sunglasses to lab class that night. The teacher thought I was totally whacked out for the entire quarter.

:)

4. I cry because I think my life is so unfair and it makes me wonder what I have to bitch about
Geez, so my boss makes me work overtime to finish a report. Not like I ripped out of my home and forced to live in a concentration camp.

And I cry because I can't believe there are people out there today who still deny the existances of the Holocaust. I mean geez, they found the dead bodies doesn't that make the proof pretty solid?!

7. My uncle liberated a concentration camp
and to his dying day he could not talk about what he saw. I still get angry over the phrase "never again"-what a joke.
