2. I've had to do a lot of table saw work since 7 am...

been drinking heavily since 5 am. Table saws scare me...I use mine without the guard, so it scares me even more.

The booze calms my nerves.

12. Yeah, those are nasty. I've got a radial-arm saw (the big honkin' one). Much safer.

The scroll saw is my favorite, but I like my band saw too (96" band).

And the guard on a table saw is almost a hazard on its own!

My way of staying safe on a table saw is to never ever get anywhere close to the blade.

Happy Earth Day!

I intend to celebrate Earth Day by shutting off the A/C and drinking until I wake up nekkid under the waning moonlight, hurting all over, hugging the Earth as best I can, and holding on to the triffids lest I fall off the Earth and start floating into space uncontrollably. Is there really any other way end an afternoon of getting wasted?

23. I drink on my way home from work most days.

I get off at 3:30 (pm) and have a very frustrating longish commute. I also deal with a TON of stress all day long so by quiting time I'm really ready for a stiff drink.

I usually keep a pint or a fifth of Gilbey's gin under the seat and a bottle of Vernor's Ginger Ale as well. As soon as everyone else has left the parking lot I mix the two together (the ratio depends on what kind of day I've had!) in my trusty 7-11 24oz coffee mug and enjoy happy hour number one in "stealth mode" on the way home while I listen to Dian Riehm on the Sirius and unwind.

I find it to be the perfect warm up for drinks at the bar with a few friends before I head to the house to relax with a few brews and watch TV with the wife and kids.
