Anyone caught that show "The Deadliest Warrior"?

The Pirates vs. Ninja thread reminded me of that show. It's a new one on Spike (yeah, I know, I don't normally watch that sexist trash network), and very odd but interesting.

Each week, they use computer simulations based on the performance of combat specialists to determine which type of warrior is deadlier. The first week I saw it, they pitted Apache against Roman Gladiator. The next one will feature a Spartan against a Ninja.

Thing is, with this latter match-up, you have 2 totally different fighting styles, and you also have a formation soldier versus an ambusher. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Very odd.

2. I like the Warriors show with some former Green Beret

Who travels around the world to experience old/ancient warrior cultures and how they fought - Vikings, Scots, Mayans, medieval knights, etc. Explains the various weapons they used, how they trained/practiced, how their methods were effective, etc.

it's on Thursday nights at 10 on history.
