10. Zardoz, from which that image came
Early 70's science fiction from John Boorman the director of Deliverance, Excalibur, and The Emerald Forest amongst many other excellent films.

It has moments that may induce giggling but it was an attempt to do some serious hard science fiction unlike the usual gee whiz spaceships, robots, and alienated teenagers.

The tagline was;

I have seen the future. It doesn't work.

7. Well, it does draw attention away from the revolver
I suppose that's some kind of edge in a gunfight.

The morticians will be laughing over this for years, though.

12. Nancy Sinatra has not aged well.
How come he has bandoliers for rifle bullets when all he has is a revolver? Oh yeah and WTF was he thinking?! At this point, the shorts are merely a formality.

When an icon like that has taken a gig that makes him look like a ridiculous toolbag, I don't feel so bad about putting on a tux and playing "Mustang Sally".

on edit: at least I do a minimal amount of manscaping.

he tries to fit the bullets he keeps in his bandolier into that revolver.

23. You never know what you'll find in the mouth of a giant stone head in the clouds.
Zardoz was one of my crazy alcoholic English advisor's favorite movies.

He's dead now, and my writing is still crap.

His Department Chair refused to sign off on my graduation and she used to duck out whenever she saw me. She managed to make it all the way to June without seeing me and then she flew off to Europe for a long time.

I finally had to convince a dean that I was qualified to graduate, a dean who also happened to be the professor who'd had me kicked out of school a few years previously for fighting with one of his teaching assistants. Hey, look, I wasn't fighting! The TA was throwing stuff at me starting with his chalk and followed by a few other objects close at hand, including a big fat textbook. I guess you shouldn't call the subject of someone's PhD work bullshit, but I really didn't know and it didn't occur to me until much later that maybe he was wasting so much of our valuable time with the bullshit because it was his bullshit... I wonder what happened to him? I probably have the papers somewhere in my garage that I could find his name, but I'm sort of afraid to touch those papers and maybe I don't want to know he's some government official somewhere or worse a Silicon Valley billionaire who hasn't forgotten what an ass I was.
