What's a good DIY house fix-it book?
Ok...my agonizing house hunt may be at and end. We have an accepted offer on a modest house that'll need a lot of work. At minimum (and I'll know more after the inspection this week): strip all wallpaper, paint, refinish floors, new toilets, replace at least a few windows if not all depending on $$$.

Painting is no big deal, but the rest of the stuff are things I've either never done (replace windows) or not seen done in a loooong time (finish floors). Perhaps I'm getting a bit ahead of myself seeing as how we're not even at the purchase & sale point, but what's a good book (or three) to have on hand before I get into this process?

2. The big orange hardcover Home Depot book is fantastic.
I know a lot of people here hate Home Depot, but their book is really helpful, and detailed with plenty of illustrations.

I use my copy frequently.

I have a ton of "how-to" books and piles of "Fine Homebuilding", "Fine Woodworking", and several others, but none less than 10 years old. All the info is on the internet and youtube is an excellent resource for instructional videos.
