oh, sh!^
Woke up to the runs, and am now running a mild (100) fever.

I'm in the Dallas area, and I attended a jazz festival yesterday where there were supposed to be 200,000 people over the weekend.

sonofa....!

2. That's what I'm hoping too.
Never thought I'd think to myself, "Please be food poisoning."

4. Wouldn't hurt to see the doc...
I just Googled that the Swine Flu incubation period can be as short as a day, or as long as 3 to 4 days.

My guess is that the odds are real good that you DON'T have it though.

See your doc and good luck.

7. get it checked out just in case
It's probably nothing to worry about, but get tested just in case.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/042809dnmetswineflu.117f21302.html

Dallas County is investigating three probable swine flu infections from separate locations in the county. They involve a 3-month-old baby, a 7-year-old child and a 24-year-old.

The county sent samples from each of them to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is awaiting final confirmation, which typically takes 72 hours. None of the three was hospitalized.

Leads me to believe that this ain't all that...

Phew!

I just need to lay on the aspirin, fluids, and Pepto.

11. No.
But, no solid food since yesterday. Just haven't felt like it yet.

I think all I've done is just scare the hell out of everybody I was hanging with yesterday.

12. for good reason though....
I would be concerned if I woke up with those symptoms too given where you were yesterday. Just please get tested if you experience nausea. The symptoms of swine flu in the States seem to be mild, but tracking it is still very important.

14. Better, thank you.
Stomach's settled down. I still have the fever, but it's never gone above 100 degrees. I'm kind of weak and achy, but far from incapacitated.

I hope I caught a weakened version of the bad stuff and that it will make me impervious should I be exposed.
