Houston storms are scary...
:scared:

Green and tornado warning-y and very, very frightening. At least I know for sure that roof leak (in a new house even :() is fixed.

1. God, darlin'. I'm with you. I was terrified of storms BEFORE
I moved here, so yeah, it sucks.

It's an everyday occurrence, too, which double sucks.

How are you, sweetie? I bet you can't wait for WannaBe to get home for the summer.

and tornadoes, it's that the news tends to really play it up.

I'm sure you'll be fine. When the blare the warning, we all end up in the first floor bathroom.

If I had thought about it? I would have put a storm shelter in under the sunroom when we built it, if for nothing else but the kids' peace of mind.

:loveya:

4. When they sold me the house, they gave me the blue print
with our "storm are" outlined. It's the master walk in. Totally freaky, but worth the pay off for the warm sunny days in the winter.

5. I agree. I don't get as scared as I used to.
My only issue is the dachshund who gets totally and completely freaked out by storms. It's upsetting and when the storm happens overnight, I don't get any sleep.

Not that I get much these days anyway.

6. Oh, you know what?
I forgot your new user name! Luckily, I could determine by the posts above who you are. :dunce:

Hope you like Houston, despite the storms and crazy weather. It's horrible how they make houses these days, isn't it? We had a leaky roof the first year we were in our house, too. Luckily, though, no other leaks since (and it is 4 years old).

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I am the former "KC2" in case you didn't know. :hi:

8. Hey you.
I am on a "break" of sorts, so I don't blame the lack of name recognition. It was what I was aiming for.

13. I like them too...sort of.

We made it through and I can see the jets starting their landing patterns again, so all is well.

15. The main road I am off is still covered, but not too bad.
We have a couple of gullies that do a good job. It was still squishy here too. :)

16. Aw... glad it's over... and see? No tornado.
You'll get used to it eventually. I think green skies are pretty and enjoy watching for the funnel clouds.

Glad you're safe.
