Asking For Good Vibes For My Daughter-In-Law
She'll be taking a math test tomorrow for her PPST (Preprofessional Skills Test)/Praxis test. She has had some problems with it for a variety of reasons. She's had a very rough childhood, and that's an understatement. She works two jobs (one is FT, one is PT) and goes to college full-time. She's a sweet girl, and it is her dream to teach young children. I'll be studying with her tonight, so I'm sending good vibes her way. I would greatly appreciate it if you could too.:) :grouphug:

8. Today At 10:30 a.m.
I'll be sending good vibes her way. She takes anti-seizure medicine, and it has made her groggy during class, and sometimes when she sudies. She has had it adjusted at times, and seems to be a little better now. We had a good study session last night. I want this for her so much.
Hoping, praying, crossing my fingers, etc., you get the idea.

11. Sorry To Say She Didn't Get Good News Today
But she can try again in June. She had a test prep book from the library, but it was from 2001. She can't afford to buy one. She doesn't want to ask me, but I'm pretty sure she'll take this. I haven't talked to her yet, but she has two weeks of classes yet, and I'm going to do everything I can to help her finish this semester on a high note. Also, I called Barnes & Noble, and they have several current up-to-date PPST/Praxis tests there. I'll buy her what she needs. I feel so bad for her. To say this is her dream is an understatement.
Her and my son are as far as you can get from having money, but they do their best. A month ago their insurance was giving them crap about her medicine. It costs about $600 a month, and they paid $60 a month. All the sudden they said they had to come up with $310. Thank God, the pharmacist had a mother with epilepsy, and didn't let her leave without some meds. I talked to her (DIL) and the next day I went and bought them for her. I think she takes Topomax. She had a mild seizure about a year ago, and they adjusted her dosage, but she was getting headaches, so they upped her dosage. Then she was groggy. She has about a 35 mile commute to school, and I was worried about her, not to mention trying so hard to stay alert in class. So, now her medicine was adjusted agin, and it seems a little better, but she still has headaches.
Anyway, I'm off on a tangent here, but her obstacles are so great, but then again, so is her dream.
