The First Posters of Someone you desired you ever tacked on your Wall
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 08:15 PM by Mike 03
when you began to have feelings for the sex you were attracted to, regardless of your sexuality. All feelings are welcome in this post!

In retrospect, I realize it was a way of defining myself, even though these were just celebrities I could never hope to meet.

And I realize this thread won't mean much without links to the posters, but I'm not sure how to do that.

1. Bo Derek.
2. Farrah Fawcett (the classic one that everyone knows how to post except me)

The one I was DYING to have but couldn't afford:

3. Nastassja Kinski and the Snake. I saw that when I went to school in Los Angeles, and I was so jealous my friend had this poster, all framed in glass.

I still love it, and I still don't own it.

This might be the Bo Derek, I'm not sure this will work...

Just to give the other side, the girl I had a crush on was hugely into Prince and her walls were covered in posters of Prince. I had no clue who this guy was or what he even did, but I was so jealous of him, that he had this girl's total affection. She could've cared less about me.

:nopity:

ON EDIT: I can't believe it. Why can't I find that classic Farrah Fawcett poster? I can find dozens of others, but not The One you all found last week when we were fretting over her health.

SECOND EDIT:

I hope this works. This is the Farrah Fawcet Poster.

1. Never put up a poster, but...
Brooke Shields gave me the proverbial tingly feeling up and down my leg while hitting puberty. Oh, and the Kinski pic...wow.

3. I've never hung up a poster of a woman.
When I was a teenager, I really didn't want to and my mother likely wouldn't have had that. When I went to college...well, no I just don't think I would.

Now Yaz, rock bands and pro wrestling posters, oh hell yeah, up through when I was probably 15. Nothing but dudes, too.

4. When four brothers share one bedroom
two double bunk beds, you don't have such luxuries as wall space.

5. Holy Shit!
I bet there were a lot of fights and arguments just because you were stepping on each other all the time. :wow:

Talk about a lack of privacy!

I can't find the good poster -- the one of her in the red 1 -piece with a winsome smile.

I still remember, he had a mole on his belly in the same place I have one. I knew it was destiny!

11. Everyone had the Farrah poster.
I begged my dad to get me one when I was eight. I didn't have to beg too hard.

12. I was too shy to display my feelings like that. No posters on my wall
till I was 25 and put up posters of my interests.

13. Embarrassing, but...

*sigh*

I used to sit around and dream up fantasies in which Jordan Knight came and swept me away.

14. Nancy Drew
I had a passion for intelligent mystery-solving women even in fifth grade, apparently.

I've moved on to this crush, though I don't have her poster on the wall.

15. As part of the internet generation, I didn't have posters. I had Windows wallpaper.
:P

Unfortunately I can't seem to find the image I had, despite the fact that I remember exactly what picture it was. It the black and white headshot Natalie Portman was using in the late 90s when she landed the Star Wars ep. I role.

18. Keith Moon. And a Monty Python collage.
I grew in the nineties, but I listened to a lot of sixties music.
Lots of pictures of Keith Moon, including this one:

Watched a lot of Monty Python tv episodes. Big crush on Michael Palin, but they were all wonderful. SIGH.

I had a big crush on Claire Danes, too, back then, but I never put that up a picture of her.

22. A poster of the Bombers versus the Chiefs...maybe..
I didn't exactly desire anyone on the teams...but I sure wanted to grow up and be
on a Roller Derby team.
