Ebay Advice

I bought merchandise from an auction. It is for a club seats to a preseason game on Saturday. The seller emailed me stating that he would have them fedexed to me via overnight mail on Thursday. I should get them by Friday.

Should I not have my tickets by the game time, what rights do I have? I paid via paypal. Does Ebay have a procedure for dealing with fraud?

Or is it tough luck?

I'd ask the seller that.

If you don't get them in time, the only recourse you probably have is to leave negative feedback, I'm afraid. I may be wrong about that, though. The truth is that I don't really know. I'm guessing.

That's the honest answer. You may be able to get your money back. Email them and ask.

....boards on eBay. They have a lot of info on fraud protection there.

But first I would get the guy's telephone number (which you can do since you completed a transaction with him) and give him a call and express your nervousness. The tab you are looking for is something like "get personal information"

4. You should be able to get a paypal refund

Go to paypal and ask for a refund. I think it is up to them to prove that they sent the tickets.

I've never gotten a refund or had one taken out of my account. But I have been on message boards with other ebay sellers who had buyers get refunds when they didn't get their package.

Did you try calling the seller and asking for a tracking number?

6. Get a scan

Have him scan the tickets and email you a copy, or copy and fax. That way you know he's actually got them and also have some backup for your purchase. Here's the Paypal policy if a seller doesn't ship the item, I've never had any problems with Ebay or Paypal so I don't actually know what happens if you don't get something.

7. I've bought and sold event tickets through eBay. Always positive.

Give him the benefit of the doubt to fulfill this transaction first because it's only Monday and the game is on Saturday so don't panic! :)

Or ask him by email to send it sooner, for which, since you're paying for shipping, you can ask.
