I am a Young and the Restless fan. :shrug: I just found out while on the soaps.com board, that there are a lot of gay bashers there. The show is bringing on a gay character and that has brought out the nastiness. I went to the lounge area of the site for the first time to see if there was any discussion going on about this and found, lo and behold, that there are two political threads. One a republican thread, non bashing, and the other a democratic thread, non bashing. If you want to have some fun, go there and read the ridiculous stuff that these people are saying about Obama. They complain about everything from the teleprompters to what clothes Michele wears.

I am really hoping that people show their support for this story line. I was just so surprised to find out how vocal the non supporters were. The thread that was started on the main Y&R board was completely deleted, which really angered me. There were some really wonderful points made about tolerance and understanding to the haters.
