3. I'll probably try to see Angels and Demons to show my support for Ron Howard
and my lack of support for those who are complaining about his movie.

The DVD's will come out when summer's over. Then I might see a couple whenever they arise on my Netflix queue - Star Trek & Harry Pothead and maybe Terminator "fucking amateur Christian fucking Bale fucking fuck" Salvation.

8. Terminator:Salvation
Ever since seeing those scenes in the first movie, I've been hoping they'd make a movie about the human resistance against Skynet. Yeah, the time-travel-save-john-connor thing is interesting. But I like a good Monkey vs Robot war movie. (And don't even try to throw Transformers at me. That's Robots vs Robots.)

or isn't that snob enough for ya?

Also great open letters from their film critics telling film-makers what to avoid in the future! :D

Edited on Mon May-04-09 05:35 AM by Adenoid_Hynkel
if it's bad, even depp's failures (and there are few) are always worth at least a viewing

and i imagine there's a good audience out there these days for a 'fuck the banks' picture

15. I just saw a trailer for 'Moon', which I'll be sure to see
However, I'm pretty much always just as happy to see things on DVD as to go - when we actually go to the theater we prefer our smaller, quieter, non-mainstream place...

22. None I'll be proud of, but:
Will see Star Trek for Simon Pegg and Karl Urban and will probably enjoy most of it.

Will see Harry Potter but probably won't go back and read the books or see the other movies so will have no idea what is going on.

Will see Night at the Museum because Christopher Guest is playing Ivan the Terrible.
Will be disappointed that he's only in it for five minutes.
Will never tell anyone I know that I have seen it.
Please don't tell anyone either.

25. "Public Enemies"

Michael Mann's new one about FBI man Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale)going after John Dillinger (Johnny Depp). There's a picture of Depp as Dillinger in today's Sunday NY "Times": black fedora, black trench coat, black gloves...and oh, yeah: a black Thompson machine gun. 110% Badass.

Most Summer movies suck, as far as I'm concerned; but Michael Mann doing 30's good guys/bad guys? I'm there, opening day (July 1).......

42. Many of the above, but I voted Star Trek
simply because my brother and I already have our tickets to see it in IMAX at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. It was his idea, I would have been happy seeing it at the local all-digital, half-way decent seats theater, but since he offered to buy dinner, I guess I'll suffer.
