After seeing how Ricky Hatton's head got rocked by Pacquiaro last night, I imagine that just one or two boxing matches might be enough to affect one's health for the rest of their life. Our brains just can't take that kind of punishment. And body blows - do boxing punches to the liver and kidneys cause permanent damage? From the spectator's viewpoint, the body blows don't look like much compared to punches to the head, but I have a feeling they can be just as devastating.

2. I saw one knockout a year or two ago...

...where the guy got punched and actually didn't react to the punch until a second or two had passed, when his legs turned to jello and he crumpled to the floor in a heap. He was out like a light - I'd be surprised if that didn't do some real damage.

3. I boxed in the military

Body Blows sometimes are worse to shots to the head. Shots to the head arent all that bad, unless you concuss. You get an opponent who works your body good, and you can be pissing blood for a week.
