What's the most recent dream you remember?

Mine was a couple nights ago, and it was very clear. I was in a lecture room and a woman was quizzing a group of us on Berkeley street names. I was shouting out answers: "Bowditch!" "Channing!" "College!" "Shattuck!" "Telegraph!" and I felt so proud of myself, like I'd really accomplished something.

I was disappointed to wake up and lose that feeling of accomplishment. Weird. :crazy:

Okay, so I had a veggie dog with sauerkraut and brown mustard last night!

2. I had a dream about a week ago that I was being attacked by

two 7 foot long lobsters.

5. Last night, and it was really strange, because I had not been recalling my dreams lately.

I don't know what it means.

It's hard to explain, too, because it requires a lot of backstory. But, basically, I was meeting my literary agent from the 90s, who had dumped me because she was cutting down on her clients. She looked older and she was apologizing to me and agreeing to represent me again.

It was so out of the blue. I NEVER dream about my literary agent, although she was a great person and worked hard and all of that.

It was just so bizarre because she was the furthest thing from my mind. But when I thought of the dream and recalled it, it felt very healing.

I don't know what it means, or why I had it now.

I should add that our parting hurt me a lot. It really made me very sad and depressed when she told me she could no longer represent me. It was traumatic.

6. It involved bright red artichokes.

I'm not sure what Freud would make of that. I expect it's about sex. According to Freud, it's always about sex.

7. This morning I was wanted for a murder

I didn't commit. In the dream I was visiting old neighborhoods and hangouts being protected by an underground network of old friends. They knew I was innocent but agreed with me that the law would just kill me.

One of my "acid" buddies was raided in a tactical strike by the FBI and 5-6 people, including him, were shot just for being where the feds thought I was. (Art of War: Betrayal reference.. saw the movie a few nights ago.)

I went into full on vengence mode and took several out in traps.

I woke up feeling bad because I figured those folks were just doing their job.. but.. it was them or me...

Then a sweet friend and MissHoneyChurch sidetracked my mind by inadvertenly making me think about Pavlov's dogs. It's been a busy day, so I never gave it much thought.. 'til now :P

8. From this afternoon..it was a nightmare actually..

I dreamnt that Jason's kitty,snuggles,got cut up underneath the hood of a car. I had to get her body and dispose of it before Jason saw her. Terrible dream.

11. Oh gawd. That's horrible.

I have anxiety dreams about my kitties all the time, especially the 16 1/2-year-old female. Like I'm holding her outside (she's an indoor cat) and she runs into traffic, etc.

9. I had a dream this afternoon. Someone very important to me was trying to contact me -

via text and instant messaging.

I kept trying to get back to him, but the the keys on my laptop kept falling off, and I couldn't get my phone to work.

If I were inclined to analyze the dream, I would say it is related to some anxious feelings I am having.

15. husband was complaining about invisible chemicals in our well water

yet filled a cooler without cleaning the leaves, dead bugs, and dust/dirt out of it. It was so real that I have remembered it for a couple of days. Of course it is close to waking conversations so...

16. I dreamed I grew a lot of potatoes

In the rest of the dream I was at a hotel, and there were people from teh longue there. We all got a packet of photos and the key to our hotel rooms, but the guy handing out the packets messed up. I was about to make out with ccharles by accident, but then the puppy woke me up. :shrug:

17. Heh. It's funny how DU seeps into dreams.

I once had a dream that I told Bush off to his face. In my dream my first thought after telling him off was: "I can't wait to post about this on DU!"

18. This morning I was doing political work..

for some big cheese in Miami.

Oddly, the "work" involved cleaning the carpet on a trailer stage. The trailer was in the parking lot of a big office skyrise.

As I cleaned, a worker was on the back of some sort of crane-type truck replacing the metal light poles in the lot. My trailer was blocking him to finish the last pole. When he came up to me he had a cooler in his hand, opened it.. and offered me a beer.

We sat in the chairs that were on the trailer as we drank the beer. I then saw my big dog running loose waaay on the other side of the parking lot. I called him and he came. The dude handed me a leash and I headed upstairs to put the dog in the office.

In the elevator, following her gushing over my dog, Julia Roberts got a phone call and was absolutely cussing my boss for doing some bad political stunt which involved her. When they hung up.. she continued on how she was going to kill him because now it was nearly impossible for her to eat. I offered her cheese.

When we got to our floor my boss's personal assistant was in the hall winking and nodding me over to a couch as if nothing was going on. Julia went to the office door and pushed it open... it was empty. She came and sat on the couch with me and had a piece of crumbled cheese I had put in a bowl on the table. I noticed behind her at the end of the hall my boss giving me the thumbs up.

After she left the co-conspiritors came to the couch laughing and boasting. He short-changed me on my pay.

I woke up.
