"Fatal Attraction" or "Single White Female". Which movie freaked you out the most?
I have to go with "Single White Female" because, unlike Dan Gallagher, Bridgit Fonda's character didn't deserve the madness that barreled into her life.

5. Oh, man. You're reading my frickin' mind.
Single White Female was flat out batshit fuckin' crazy.

Fatal Attraction was weird, no way around it, but the fact that the Jennifer Jason Leigh character tried to 'be' her? OMG.

:scared:

And, yes, Dan Gallagher invited the crazy into his life. Bridgit Fonda? Not so much. Not her fault that she was leading the life the JJL character (whose name escapes me, but whose face I can still picture) was leading the life she wanted.

I mean. C'mon. My mom used to say that envy and jealousy were the worst things to have because someone would always have more, be more, etc. I completely adhere to that. No matter what someone else has? I'm content with mine.

And, thanks beyotch. That movie scared the beejesus out of me. I won't sleep.

6. I think JJL's character was Heddy?
I'm pretty sure. I can't remember Bridgit's character name.

Your mom's got a point. Envy and jealousy never get anybody anywhere, that's for sure. Or at the very least, nowhere good.

And....you're welcome, ya loon.

8. Isn't it weird how movies that aren't horror type movies
scare the crapola out of us? I mean, I could watch Halloween until the cows came home....nothing. But that movie? Eeek.

It's on par with reading a Stephen King novel before you go to sleep. Gerald's Game? Holy Shit. Slept with the lights on for weeks.

10. Me, too. I'm just not frightened by monster movie deals.
Freddie, Michael, Jason....nada. There has to be some basis in reality for me to relate. I know, I'm boring.

"SWF" was waaaayyyy too realistic; and "Fatal Attraction" was a close second.

The only movie that had me wound up to the point of not being able to fall asleep, was "The Exorcist". I know, I know....not realistic. But it was my former religious upbringing resurfacing.

because that little boy looked so normal. :scared:

18. Single White Female. ... But you know what movie scared the crap out of me? "Sleeping w/ The Enemy"
I'd just gotten out of a relationship with a very controlling boyfriend who had big anger issues. That movie gave me a sick feeling in my gut, like I was a few degrees away from being in that Julia Robert's character's situation. Freakily enough, the ex called me shortly after I saw that movie. He'd seen it too, and he said: "When I saw that, I hoped you weren't thinking that I was like the guy in that movie." Yikes. :scared:

22. I never found Fatal Attraction believeable
I thought the woman playing Michael Douglas' wife was way hotter than Glenn Close, so didn't see it as realistic that he would cheat on his wife with her.

Don't remember enough of SWF, though.

31. Remember the part of Fatal Attraction when Michael Douglas and

Anne Archer and their kid are coming home and the audience knows that Glenn Close has been there but not what she's done? Well, just as Archer went in the house, the film reel snapped quite loudly and people screamed all over the theater. As if the damned movie wasn't scary enough!!!

I never saw SWF so I can't compare them, but just imagine that film snapping. . .

35. Single White Female, for sure. It was a superior film, and Fatal Attraction, to be blunt, was
poorly written, poorly casted, lame in many respects.

36. Fatal Attraction was too contrived. It was phoney, like Jagged Edge or some other films
I would love to "out" for phoniness.

"Single White Female" may not have been a work of art, exactly, but it was a sincere artistic effort and it met its goals of frightening me, and it had a sensationally creepy environment from the standpoint of the set direction.
