3. Yes it is clear that you don't "get" art
you or I couldn't do this with a straight edge, some painter's tape, and some paint....it takes special talent

13. If you look at where the lines cross, you notice that the color fades to gray - that doesn't
happen at the T intersections. It compells you to think about the inconstancy of experience, and the various modalities of interpretation (in/of life/space) that are particular to a viewer/situation. That's what makes it worth the extra $2.4 million!

:)

8. Sure it is
Whatever you deliberately design, make, arrange, or place can be considered art. It doesn't require a college education. You can take a bowl of fruit and place it somewhere as decoration can be considered art.

9. well then that's how I'll make my millions
i'll put a bowl of fruit on a table, crudely draw it, and call it "Bowl of Life." Instant millions!

10. Hey I didn't say the art is worth for what it is sold for
I sure as hell wouldn't buy it with Bill Gates salary. Just saying art has a wide definition.

11. Yup.
I did some installations in college that would make you cringe. Red Bowl of Rotting Fruit in a Plexiglass Cube is still a favorite. I got an A on it and it was something I threw together at 3PM to turn in before 5PM the last day of the semester so I wouldn't fail "Conceptual Design".
