1. When cheating on the Kobayashi Maru test, when hacking the computer, try to disguise the fact
that you're cheating...

NuKurk is such a butt with the IQ closer to that of frozen water...

2. Kirk Classic was never explicitly described as a genius.
But NuKirk was acting like a real asshole.

16. The Intelligence of Kirk Classic was implied
through such things as his deviousness and ability to implement good strategy and tactics. NuKirk gives the impression of a dropout that lucked his way through Star Fleet Academy and knew the right people to help him out.

4. The Matrix formed in a day. The lifeforms grew later at a substantially excelerated rate.

9. Movie magic.
The same effect that returned Rikker, LaForge and Cockrane back to the launch site after the Phoenix flight.

Star Trek film plots have more holes than galactic centers. Best just to wolf down the popcorn and enjoy.

11. I understand later Trek had plot holes
but I never got that impression from TOS, or at least not when the better writers created episodes, like Harlan Ellison. Some things I can forgive. However, I haven't seen anything by Abrams that's even approaching the quality of the older sci-fi writers like Ellison ;)

12. Well, comparing Ellison and Abrams is comparing diamonds and zircons.
I'm not entirely pleased with ST: Reboot. The time loop was poorly done. However, this first wave Trekker is happy that the series may have a new lease on life and will be around for another generation.

Live long and prosper.

13. It will live long and prosper if they take Abrams out of the picture
(perhaps with lots of blood and gore, per his normal method of film-making... :P)

Let's replace him with J. Michael Straczynski :D

14. From your monitor ....
Keep in mind the first ST film left a lot to be desired. The next kicked serious butt.

15. So is that to imply that they do take Abrams out of ST
and give us someone that understands good storytelling that is still action-packed and intelligent? ;)

19. Really? How so?
I am not familiar with this so-called "law" and am too lazy to look it up :P

Ellison is an asshole of a person, yet he's still a great writer. Kind of like Robert Crumb is for comics ;)
