What do you choose to believe in?
Not just some religious belief, but what makes you feel positive about things?

1. Literature, Poetry, Art, Theology

I am a lover of the frequently maligned Canon. I enjoy art that is part of, and informed by, a tradition. I am a Classicist trapped in a Romanticist's body--so I have a lot of aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual dilemmas. :P

from a larger perspective.

I look at the planet and race as a whole, and I look at history.

Considering where we came from, and that we've been fighting famine, disease, ignorance, death and war all these thousands of years....we actually have come a long way baby.

5. People, they always seem to transcend, even when some are
exploring the depths of depravity and stupidity. There is something in us that keeps some of us capable and willing to strive upward and onward. We seem to have a history of this. That's what gives me hope and even a belief in the eternal life of the spirit.

7. Negativity
Negativity makes me feel positive about things. Stuff has a way of balancing out. I try to be a bummer but I just can't sustain it and next thing I'm laughing.
