Is that George dies and Izzie lives.

4. Thats what I am hoping
George is sort of a worthless character. I like Izzy's character, I want her to live. I did not see this ending coming though, AT ALL! It took me a minute to figure out what Meredith was screaming about LOL. She is so dramatic all the time ya know! Anyway, it will be interesting!

11. I think George's character became worthless, but that is all
about the writing. I think they were trying to get him to leave. They didn't give him anything anymore.

2. The whole George thing caught me totally by surprise
Kudos to Shonda for that twist.

I predict that, depending on contract negotiations and advice of attorneys over the summer, both Izzie and George could kick it, recreating the final scene in Somewhere in Time where they float off to heaven together, holding hands (and once they arrive at the pearly gates Izzie can promptly ditch George for Denny). Or, if Katherine Heigl locates her humility bone, Izzie can have a heart-to-heart with George on the brink of the Otherworld and then come back so Alex doesn't become a bereaved uber-douche and Heigl won't end up making bad romantic comedy movies.

3. I like Katherine
and I think her criticism of Grey's was valid. I guess she could have done it privately to the producers but I kind of like that she's outspoken. Katherine did recently say that she would be more than glad to stay on the show. That's why I'm guessing she lives. TR Knight asked to leave since his character has done pretty much nothing recently. Since he was a little more private about his desire to leave, I think the producers were more willing to granted his wish.

5. I am out of the loop
Why was she talking about leaving the show?

7. She complained about the quality of the material she was given
She withdrew her name from Emmy consideration because she felt she/her character wasn't deserving last year. This in addition to her growing film career made her want to leave. Recently, however, she said she would be happy to work with Grey's producers to make her schedule work.

9. She also complained about her movie...
Knocked Up. The few interviews I read seemed to make her out to be whiny and difficult to work with, but that could be how it played, I don't really know.

6. I hope George lives. He is one of my favorites on that show.
My fingers are crossed that he will live and get together with the woman he saved from the bus.

Omg that ending was a shocker...I figured Izzie's illness would wind up with a life or death cliffhanger but never could have imagined that both she and George would be in this situation! I hope Izzie lives, too, but her illness seesm pretty far gone at this point.

13. Unless someone else plays George, I am pretty sure he is as good as dead.
I am pretty sure T. R. Knight won't be coming back.

14. Do you know why he wanted to leave? I am wondering if it had anything to do with the incident
with Isiah Washington? They kind of ignored George's character a lot this season which was strange, I wonder why they did that.
