1990s commercial jingles.
I think you've noticed recently that jingles have been dropped from most commercials today in favor of known songs.

This is unfortunate, since growing up I found many jingles catchy and it actually made the commercial breaks somewhat enjoyable.

From what I can tell, commercial jingles really began to fade away in the late 1990s. Sure, you can find some today, but not at the level as say 1996 or 1997.

Examples (all from 1996 or 1997):

Honey Nut Cheerios:

That jingle was always enjoyable...yeah, I said it.

Life Savers:

Jif:

It's sappy, but yeah...

Cheese (to the rescue):

7-Up:

This is probably my favorite. I think it only lasted until 1998.

Diet Coke:

Another good one. Diet Coke ran this for a while and then that disappeared quickly.

Bagel Bites:

This ran throughout most of the 90s...this was a staple in my childhood.

And that's all I could find that I remember.

Good jingles.

Too bad they don't do 'em anymore.
