Any other fans of "Corner Gas"?

I just discovered this show. On a whim I rented the first season DVD set from Netflix.

This is the funniest, best written sitcom I've seen in years. It reminds me of "Newhart" in its heyday. It baffles me that this show got so little airplay in the US.

Any other fans out there?

1. It was very popular in Canada. My mom liked it very much. I watched
when I happened to be in the room when it was on. I don't watch much regular TV these days. But yeah..it was a funny show. Well written.

2. It used to run on late evening here as a time filler. I thought it was
pretty good. Can't say I ever went out of my way to look for it, but I would stop and watch while flipping channels.

If I noticed it was on I would watch it. I guess I would still do the same with the reruns, haha.

4. I think it is a cute show
I have seen every episode. Will they be doing any more new shows, do you know?

5. From what I've read, it appears the season that just ended was the last.
The final first-run ep was broadcast in Canada in mid April.

6. Huge fan here.

I have the first five seasons on DVD, the sixth is coming out next month.

FYI, YouTube has full episodes.

Best episode: season 2, in which it's Lacey's job to convince a doctor to move to Dog River.

Edited to add that the name of the episode is "Doc Small."

Because the only two episodes of the show which are even remotely tied together is the season 1 finale and the first episode of season 2, you can watch all the other episodes without spoiling anything.

Watch Doc Small here: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=doc+small&aq=f - you'll love it.
