5. Me:
Woke up having a panic attack. Went back to "sleep" for an hour. Got up, called my husband. Checked the weather and said "Oh fuck!"...Thunderstorms on the way. Packed up like crazy, 2.5 hours later, back home, after driving through a storm. Sun is shining. Took a long shower, changed. Got a foot rub. Watched tv with Sniffa all night, and now we're ordering pizza. I'm also spinning yarn.

I like non-exciting. Much less stressful than my parents' house, lately.

:hi:

9. Do you take Benadryl by any chance?
The reason I ask is because I was waking up with night terrors and it turned out that they were caused by the Benadryl I was taking for sleep.

10. No, just under a hell of a lot of stress
I won't go into detail, but my life is about 2/3rds SUCK right now. Family crap, etc. I'm a freaking basket case, on the inside. Lucky for me, I can hide it. :D

23. Wow
I've been taking Benadryl (the nighttime kind) for the past few days because of horrendous allergies and I've been having the most bizarre, scary dreams. :scared: Guess I need to find something else.

25. Have you tried Claritin or something else yet?
Scary dreams, night terrors, and I was always told Benadryl was so safe. My MD didn't know about the weird mental stuff either.

I wonder how many people never realize this side effect. I smacked poor Mr. Gut across the face during a night terror and had bruises on my arms from him trying to control me.

It's been a busy week-end here, seeing old friends (yay!), kiddo at various events, a nice garden party some friends held. And gardening! The roses are in good shape and beautifully full. My wisteria is done, I planted a trumpet vine, and I have an azeala and a butterfly bush to put in. I love vines- can't get enough of em!

I went kayaking today with a friend. It was his first time kayaking and we rented one and hauled mine out there. Other than the beach traffic it was a great day.

13. sounds heavenly to me
Slept till almost ten when I woke up to see the tuxedo up in my sleeping loft. I shooed him off but not swiftly enough to prevent him from leaving a little possessive deposit of urine on my duvet and the quilt. No leisurely waking, I was immediately tearing at the bed coverings to get them off before the piss penetrated through to the mattress(I succeeded). Then it was laundry and a hands and knees search of the room below the loft to find out where the hell the urine smell was coming from. A cat scratcher/hidey cylinder went out to the garbage, then I continued crawling around nose first (cause I could still smell it)till I found my dresser was contaminated. I saw no stain on the wood but I did find crusts of urine between the bottom drawer and the frame which I worked at with Nature's Miracle, cloths, fingernails, nail file. I took out all the lower drawers to check, just to be sure. I crawled the rtest of the room and treated pretty much everything at the height of a cat's ass just in case. This is my Christmas rescue, a cat who has severely challenged my generous spirit and caused me endless labor and expense. All day it seems it was feeding the 5 cats, washing their dishes, dispensing treats, keeping them from climbing into baskets of clean laundry, refereeing fights with the neighbor cats who loves me but hates competition.

I meant to finish up the design for my garden and go to the nursery for more plants. As it was I had to put barriers over areas ready for bedding that were very attractive as potential litter boxes.

I wish I had got up an hour later, alone, and spent the day watching HGTV. In a clean house. That would have been interesting enough for me.

27. now I know why a smart socialized cat was living on the street
His former owners probably moved in the middle of the night. I thought I had impressed on him that urine marking is unacceptable. I thought I had succeeded. I was so proud. Of course what he has learned is not to get caught. But my bed?!!!! And not for the first time either. I'm totally PWNED.

20. Sleeping late, a family meal, and a movie with your daughter, huh?
followed by chillin out at home. Sounds like a great life. It would be an absolute thrill for me to have had a day like yours, and a family including a child, to share it with. I know you were being humorous, but it sounds like your life is blessed, and I suspect that you know that very well. Congratulations on having a wonderful, "thrill-free" day.

24. Hi Shine! Good to see you. I woke up at 7 am, made the coffee, fed the beasty
got the papers off the front porch, sorted out the sections i wanted, read them and drank coffee, did laundry, went to kickboxing and then went to the coffee shop, gave a guy $2 and 2 cigarettes and then he followed me inside and decided i was going to be his new bff, that was a little scary. Went home and took another shower and then went to the supermarket, came home and put the stuff away, fed the beast again, fed my daughter and then we watched Slumdog millionaire.

33. We saw Night at the Museum 2 last night and slept in until 10
I went to Home Depot, gardened, and ....(wait for it) ....did work at home while watching a movie.

I liked NATM2. it requires suspending a LOT of disbelief, but it's fun. The OBD kids and Mrs. OBD liked it. My 5 year old daughter keeps doing the Thinker-statue-muscle flex scene and yelling "check out this gun show -- firepower" at random moments all day today.

35. You'd be wrong
slept in much too late because I couldn't fall asleep until 4am.

Got up and cleaned for three hours

Ran an errand

Did laundry

worked until 1:40 am

Spent the last hour catching up on the news online.

Will do the same every day for the rest of the week, save the laundry and two extra hours of housework. That only happens on weekends.

Having brunch with a family would be an event!
