So we're going to starve tonight
We planned on ordering pizza from one of the few good pizza places tonight and we even compromised on the order so we'd both enjoy it. So I call the place at 9:15 pm.

Worker: Hello, Buccini's how can I help you?

Me: Hi, I'd like to place an order for delivery.

Worker: Oh, we stop delivery at 9:00 pm on Sunday.

Me: Okay. Why did you answer the phone then?

Worker: Oh, um, um, um, we sometimes get calls about deliveries in progress at this time.

Me: I see. *click*

-----------------------

I then call the Pizza Hut right up the street so at least Bi-Baby can eat.

Worker: Hello, welcome to Pizza Hut, how may I help you?

Me: I'd like to place an order for delivery?

Worker: Okay what's your name?

Me: ****** *******

Worker: What's your phone number?

Me: *** *** ****

Worker: What's your zipcode?

Me: *****

Worker: What's your address?

Me: Didn't I just give that to you?

Worker: Um, no, um, you didn't.

Me: Oh right, I didn't. Sorry. It's *** ********* ****, *** ***.

Worker: Okay.... I'm sorry we don't deliver to that area.

Me: Really? You're right up the street.

Worker: I'm sorry, we don't deliver there. Let me transfer you to another Pizza Hut that delivers to your area.

*ring ring ring ring ring ring*

Worker: Hello, welcome to Pizza Hut.

Me: Hi, I'd like to place an order for delivery.

Worker: I'm sorry but we're not delivering right now because we're so backed up.

Me: Okay.

Worker: Um..... um.......... um....... um....

Me: Okay, bye.

Worker: Wait!

Me: *click*

I only wish I liked Pizza Hut because I'd boycott them for life. I already was boycotting them because they're nasty so it's no big deal.

9. I can make my own pizza in about 30 minutes
I rarely order out unless I have an army to feed. I like my own recipe better anyway unless it's a real authentic NY style pizzeria.

10. Dude, I've been away for 2 weeks and we don't have ingredients
I never order pizza. I'm exhausted and can't cook tonight, even if I had what I need. :eyes:

11. Good for you
I'm not knocking anyone for ordering out for pizza. If it feels good, do it. I'm just saying I don't order from the commercialized joints like Pizza Hut for many of the same reasons previously stated. No need to get so defensive.

17. Yes...
Do you actually know what "passive aggressive" means?

Perhaps you're just so in to your clique that you like throwing out inarticulate phrases in a vain effort to sound intelligent or perhaps you just have a burning desire to agree with someone, right or wrong, in a desperate effort to be accepted or liked.

Anything else you need to know? :eyes:

20. I'm not defensive really, it's just that
Well, this is the first night I've seen my husband in about 2 weeks...b/c my Mom is dying from ALS, my best friend is a rock bottom alcoholic, and I'm doing my best to manage 2 households, 100 miles apart. Oh, and I graduate college in 6 days. No need for the judgmental BS. I barely eat these days, Domino's is better than starving yourself, trust me.

21. I can certainly empathize
I lost my mom about a month ago. I took no offense to your statement, because when you said you hadn't been home in 2 weeks, I figured you were probably mentally and physically tired a could easily jump to conclusions which were never intended as we all can from time to time, but I had no way of knowing those things and just assumed this entire thread was about Pizza Hut in general.

I admire your fortitude and I sincerely hope things turn around for you in the near future.

22. It was really about how I was really hungry and couldn't
get a damn pizza if I tried, save for Domino's probably, and I didn't feel like completely slumming it.

23. This makes me very sad, which is why it pisses me
off even more so that because you're having a hard time with your appetite due to everything going on in your life, some a-hole is getting all up in your grill about what you're planning on having for dinner.

Fuck that shit.

You eat whatever you want. :grr:
