Der Grammar Überhauptsturmbannführer sez: One wishes another well; one gives good wishes
One does not give well wishes, contrary to what some seem to think.

"Well," in this sense, is an adverb; it modifies the verb "wish."

"Good" is an adjective that modifies the noun "wish."

Thank you for your kind attention.

Only you can prevent poor grammar.

1. I sez: If you wish another well, don't tell us about it, just dig it, though if the one already have
gives good wishes, I suppose maybe you could get another well just by wishing for it, but then again why would you need it

Moral: If the thinkin ain't straight, well grammar ain't gonna help none

2. A long time ago I threw a penny in a wishing well.
Well. I'm still wishing.
