You won't believe what my cat just did!
She came running into the room when I called her. Doesn't this mean she has to turn in her union card as a cat?

6. Two of ours come when called, at least most of the time.
Actually, my middle daughter's cat comes EVERY time if SHE is the one doing the calling.

I also taught all of them to sit, which they do now even if treats aren't involved. The females will also beg for treats. My big guy would if he could, but the belly prevents such silliness.

7. My enormous tuxedo male, Ivan, comes running if you whistle --
:)

Not sure who might have taught him that - he was an ill, abused stray when we found him (now he's a hulking 20lb monster).

24. My ex used to whistle a tune that would make all four of our cats
come running. My ex called himself the "pied piper"

12. Heh
I can open the front door, snap my fingers three times and my cat will come running and doing the cat chirping. I just have to make sure there's no cars coming before doing this

14. No. She just has to conceal her loyalty to Management or
she'll be outed as a scab.

Nice kitty. :)

What is her name?

20. Her name is Brigid.
She graciously allows me to use it online. She's black with lovely gold eyes. I don't have a digital camera, or I'd be posting pics of her all the time. :)

15. Were you standing by the food bowls?
Did you pop a can of the good stuff before you spoke? Or, at the very least, was it dinnah time? (Cats SOOO can tell time.)

Only my lil' girl kitteh will look at me if I say her name; the other two likely have their own damned names that they didn't share with us and don't care what we call 'em--they won't come running for nuthin'. Except food, of course.

17. I have one who does that. My first cat followed me around like a dog.
In fact, more than any of my dogs has ever done.

But I'm pretty sure Leon is an independent contractor.

22. They're scary smart
This happened once when our cat was younger than 6 mos. old and we were trying to keep her in the house:
one time we were having a conversation, while the cat was in the room, about how the screen in the back bathroom was loose, which meant she'd be able to push it out and get out of the house....and I swear to God, she went running to the back of the house and went right up to the screen and pushed it out! We followed her and were able to keep her from jumping out at the time.

She totally understood what we had said. It kinda freaked me out, quite frankly.

:scared:
