My significant other is a calico cat

and she isn't even my cat. She's a feral who lives across the street from the homeless shelter down the block from work.

I am not anti-cat, obviously, especially not when it comes to calicos, who are the feminists of the cat world -- but this fucking SUCKS. A human female is required, and yesterday!

Just for a moment there, a few weeks ago, it looked like the sun might finally be coming out. Just for a moment. :cry:

a) she has also adopted many of the women who hang around outside the shelter all day (and vice versa; there's always cat food strewn around!) and b) more importantly, she is a cat. Cats are good. Cats are wonderful. But they are not women. :(

But they are not boyfriends. In some ways that's a good thing (they don't leave the toilet seat up or insist on watching football), but in other ways, not so much. I feel your pain.
