Have You Ever Been Stalked By A "Telephone Terrorist"?
There is a woman who calls my office 5 times a day. She is a former client who thinks I care and has a new subject of dispute every day. I'm a real estate lawyer and her conflicts have nothing to do with real estate. I have referred her to 10 other attorneys, but she never pursues them.

She calls in the morning, gets put through to voicemail.

Calls back 30 seconds later. And then another minute later. She won't stop until we answer the phone.

Don't tell me to be rude to her. I have literally abused this woman time and time again.

She's a stalker. She's an addict. She's unstoppable.

9. Bad, bad choice of words on my part
I meant that I have, on many occasions, been less than polite in my approach to her.

Unbelievable ...finally she stopped..It was living hell..

7. It's not stupid at all...
Some people need it spelled out for them.

6. Someone used to call me and not say anything...
then, if I wasn't home, they'd call and fill my answering machine with a big long message of nothing.
I had their phone number though, thanks to my return call feature. I called the phone company to report the abuse, and they said they really couldn't do anything about it; but if I wanted to spend a certain amount of money every month, I could block the guy's calls. Nice, huh?

So I went to one of the few payphones I knew of, called freako-phone's number, left the phone off the hook, and walked away. It's notable that I haven't received another call from him, and it's been over 3 years.

8. My mother does that.
She calls and calls until someone answers. If no one is home, she does it anyway. We have told her not to do it, but it makes no difference.

10. Maybe you should pay off your credit card debts and she'll leave you alone.
Also, you should just be polite to her. That will solve all of your problems, including that bald patch you think nobody notices.

13. Sounds like she is nuts
I think just ignoring her will be the best option. If she stops getting any satisfaction (in terms of human interaction) eventually she will stop.
