favorite imported beer?
what is your favorite imported beer? I am not a huge beer drinker but I love Guinness (Irish car bombs, anyone? :) ). What do you all like? I would love some suggestions for good, lesser known imports.

1. I really don't like beer
so my opinion is probably the opposite of beer connoisseur's opinions, but I quite like Becks it's a bit less yeasty and taste "fresh" if that makes any sense - I drank when I was travelling the UK and was running low on funds - making my usual choice of scotch - a tad pricey. Also on a patriotic level - Coopers is good bu I don't know if they export

4. to follow your lead....Harp.
Oh, such a good Irish beer. It is one of those beers where once you get the flavor of it in your mouth, you want a few more. It is odd, the first few sips aren't totally smooth, but you finish one glass (bottle) and it is so good. By the way, what is the Irish car bombs joke?? (I am not bitching, just don't know the reference) Is there something I missed???...Kevin.

18. it is usually
80% full pint of Guiness
1/2 shot of Irish whiskey (usually Jamison)
1/2 shot of Baileys Irish Cream

you put the Jamison and Baileys into a shot glass (float whiskey on top of the Baileys) then you drop the shot glass into the pint of Guiness and chug it down. Gotta drink it down quick to get the full effect. Great to do it with a few people in the bar at the same time.

16. just a few
Local micro brews are so good that I don't drink much imported beer anymore. A handful of my favorites are Samuel Smith's Winter Ale, Nut Brown Ale and Taddy Porter. Pilsner Urquel is great and set the standard for pilsners. Fullers Ale is another of my favorites. Belgium beers are phenomenal and there are too many I like to site so here is a link. Happy Beer drinking.
