2. Yes.
I played bass (electric) for money for nearly 20 years, took lessons for a few weeks at age 15 because I thought I was too old to learn to play guitar well.

Along the way, I learned guitar and harmonica. I also used to sing.

4. I studied the flute for many years.
I haven't played in a while. I got it out a couple of weeks ago and found that my fingers remembered what to do, but my lips were shot. I could only play for about 10 minutes. :-(

I also have "attempted" to plat piano, clarinet, alto sax and oboe. I enjoyed oboe, since the fingering is so similar to flute. But, unfortunately, I never mastered the nuances of playing softly. I could only play loud (very loud). So much so that you could hear me over the rest of the orchestra.

5. Not any more. I used to play oboe semi-professionally,
but had to give it up when I got to busy to maintain a practice schedule. Sold my oboe a few years ago.

6. I took piano lessons as a kid, but they didn't stick....
I'm a lousy sight-reader.

But the lessons did give me a leg-up on other instruments, since the theory of scales and chords (not to mention rhythm and timing) are the same. Since then, I've dabbled with percussion, guitar, and bass guitar, and have settled into being a guitarist (though I still dabble with percussion, bass, and other stringed instruments).

8. Guitar for 30 years....
I'm 39. Started playing with your typical "Camptown Races" Mel Bay guidebooks on an acoustic as a kid. Once I got an electric guitar at 13 it was all over.

I also play bass, drums, and a little keyboards but in a very rudimentary, self taught way.

15. Pretty much everything
I'm actually a pipe organist, but play all keyboards.

I used to be a band teacher so I play all those except flute (wrong embouchure)

Violin and Bass, no viola or cello

Nothing wierd like bagpipes or digergidoo. The pipe organ's bad enough.

23. Mmmm. I love pipe organs!
In his retirement years my dad was caretaker at Christ Episcopal Church in Eureka, California. They said their pipe organ was the largest in northern California. When I went to visit, Dad took me into the sanctuary and unlocked that organ and asked me to accompany him while he did some work (I had a small Wurlitzer at the time). He was surprised when I balked at the prospect, but I told him it was a bit like going from the driver's seat of a VW bug to the cockpit of a 747; gorgeous instrument, and the lowest base pedals actually made the windows rattle.

16. Piano, violin and voice. Fender jazz bass.
Can fake it on the mandolin, since they are tuned in fifths.

Fender jazz bass tuned in fifths, like a cello: C-G-D-A

I'm a big fan of tuning stringed instruments in ways unlike they are "supposed to be tuned"

27. That's because I cannot think in fourths.
I tried to teach myself guitar in high school and it did not compute.

I started piano lessons at age five, and fiddle lessons at age ten, so those wirings are permanent. I can read bass clef, since I am a piano player, so I can read bass guitar lines and play 'em. Makes perfect sense to me.

20. Guitar and organ.
Had lessons as a kid, learning was tricky on that old pump-organ (which still works, by the way). Wasn't ever able to read music, though. Learned to play guitar by sitting in the front row at hootenannies and watching the guitar-players; it's fun around campfires and parties. I once had a nice Wurlitzer organ that I sold to make a downpayment on a car; should have kept the Wurlitzer, it went farther and got better milage. . .

29. I useda could play the guitar a bit, but that's not like riding a bike: I can't anymore.
I haven't played for years, and it's all gone right out
of my head.

I tried to play "House of the Rising Sun" a couple years ago,
and got about 8 seconds into it before my fingers drew a
TOTAL blank on the third chord.

I guess I could have spared you the time it took to read this post
by just saying "No".

Sorry.
