1. I believe in researching a product before buying it, I don't impulse buy.

Of course, I'm talking about fairly expensive items....

Also, I don't believe in buying cheap products...you usually get what you pay for. :)

2. I am frugal

I don't own more house than I need. I keep cars long after they are paid for and use them until the repairs don't justify the value of the vehicle. I don't drink, use drugs, or smoke, not only because it's not healthy, but also because of the cost. I used to be a two pack a day guy, btw, and the cost was just as much of a factor in quitting as becoming more healthy. I don't eat out a lot. I don't usually carry a credit card balance. I am debt fre right now aside from my little condo.

4. I spend wisely with what little money I get every month

Every last person I was ever with..all my exes..they were all TERRIBLE with money and would spend it the day they got it. It's so nice being single!

5. I live paycheck to paycheck. My money doesn't have time to ruin my jeans!

I buy only what is necessary and generally shop at second-hand shops and yard sales. However, I have a five year old that likes to have fun, so we often travel around (in-state usually) going to various parks and trails.

Not mostly, anyways. Some caverns and caves charge small fees and depending on where the parks/landmarks are located gas can be of concern. I also take him to amusement parks and museums as well and once a year we go and dig for diamonds. (haven't found one yet)

I'm not completely frugal, we just have to spend what extra money we do have wisely and try to have as much fun and adventure as possible.

I prioritize expenses.

Things that I will use a lot or a long time, I will buy more expensive because I know it will last longer (if research says that is true. Sometimes the cheaply made stuff is just as good. ) Clothes are a good example. The expense of well-tailored and fitted clothing in classic styles is almost always worth it because 1) It will stand up to repeated wearings and washings 2) The classic lines assure that it never goes out of style so wearing it for 10 - 15 years is not a problem.

Things that I will only use a time or two, I will get as cheap as I can.

Food, I will spend money on, no sense in putting garbage in my body.

Books, I can get at the second-hand store and enjoy just as much as a brand new copy. Same for DVDS. Or the Library.

This way, I think I get the most out of my money, and still enjoy myself too.

but if it is something I really want badly I just go ahead and buy ! I usually do this with books really good coffee beans , and produce

Life is to short to be stingy . I think I am a very generous person, at least I try to be!

I think you've found the REAL reason why so many Scots are..... familiar.... with sheep. They can obtain the wool from a "friend" and make their own! :7 :blush:
