Mine? A little known or seen Belgian brew called Gouden Carolus Grand Cru of the Emperor. It's 10% ABV and tastes a bit like a sherry, with hints of spices and.... oh, hell, it's impossible to describe. Do yourself a favor and go try to find some, and buy it if you can!

1. One from a keg at a courtyard party in college
the beer itself was swill, of course -- but the line was so long I figured I might as well get two. Then a young lady approached me and asked for one. She was my first... :loveya:

2. Yuengling,
Edited on Mon Jul-20-09 04:45 PM by Tangerine LaBamba
fresh off the production line, right into a bar at the brewery where they served visitors.

The Yuengling brewery is right near my home town, so I grew up with this beer, and we used to go on the tours just to get free beer at the end - no one ever carded us.

The beer is so good because of the water there - it's sweet. Unbelievable.

I've drunk beer all over the world and I've had some great suds, but nothing will ever compare to those free Yuengling drafts................

3. Coors Light on tap
Served after a 50 mile charity bike ride.

Yes, I was boycotting Coors at the time but I figured since I didn't have to pay for it I might as well drink it.

5. Coors Light is lighter than water made from H1O.
Two oxygen atoms would make it far too delicious and filling.

Always a plus. :)

9. There are as many good beers as there are moods.
Samichlaus, Trappist Monk Ale (fresh from the keg), nearly any European beer when purchased in Europe (even Heineken is very very different on tap in Germany than the bottles for export).

The worst "beers" I've ever encountered are all from the USA.

And Pilsner Urquell is the only true Pilsner beer. Ahem.

10. A Miller Genuine Draft, believe it or not.
It was my first American beer, probably, in the three years since I'd gone to live in Germany. As fine as some German beer is--really fine--this was a taste of home. After I'd been stateside for a couple of months.

I almost never drink beer, and never had any interest in anything even as dark as a Heineken.

13. Not much of a drinker, beer or otherwise, but I always liked Molson Ice a lot.
As my friend says, their motto should be "Goes Down Smooth...Fucks You Up!".
