7. my AC repair company is very late

I woke up much earlier than usual because they were supposed to be here at 7:30 to get started. It is now 9:05. They called about 8 to say say that the truck had a flat tire, and once that was fixed, they still needed to go downtown and pick up the part, then come out here to the burbs to start the job, which might take as long as 6 hours.

Now, I feel compelled to point out that the tech who was here for the estimate assured that they would not even call me to set up the appointment until they physically had their hand ON the part. And that I could trust whichever tech they sent out to do the job because the company only hires Christians. Well, evidently the Christians lied, since they set up the appointment without having the part on hand.

This is a "home warranty" repair, so I don't really have a choice of companies -- otherwise I would have sent her packing when she told me that line about only hiring Christians. Is that even legal?

To their credit, somewhat, the tech they sent out for the estimate and who I believe is now 1:45 late is a woman. First female HVAC tech I've met. Now let's see if she can do the job, or if she's just going to "lay hands" on the coil and pray for Gawd's healing power.
