Turn the water on before I get in, let it warm up, then step right in. Which might be Option 1 only with no cowering.

4. I turn the shower head so it won't hit me until I'm sure the water is ok.

Then I fiddle with the shower head to get the right jets that I want before turning it towards me. I like pulsating jets, seems everyone else here likes the spray.

My shower takes forever to get hot, has poor water pressure, and when it gets hot it can get TOO hot. So I have to stand outside til it's hot and then turn it down and test it carefully and THEN get in.

I hate showers.

If I'm not in a hurry, I bow in hairfirst, since hair can't feel heat or cold, and walk toward the drain slowly, by which time the water's heated up to tolerable.
