Okay, baseball fans of the lounge. Let's have at 'em.

The Division Matchups are:

Twins vs. Yankees
Angels vs. Red Sox
Cardinals vs. Dodgers
Phillies vs. Rockies

So, without further adieu, here are my picks to the end

Division:
Twins over Yankees (Does that go totally against logic? Perhaps. But a) the Twins have some awesome momentum going on and b) I can never bring myself to pick the Yankees for anything, ever.)
Angels over Red Sox
Dodgers over Cardinals
Phillies over Rockies

League:
Twins over Angels
Dodgers over Phillies

World Series:
Twins over Dodgers

Yes, I have adopted the Twins as the Team of Destiny. We'll see how that goes.

Yankees in 4. I just think the Yankees are too good top-to-bottom for the Twins to be competitive.

Red Sox in 3. The Red Sox top-3 starters are just too good. Lester is just a better pitcher than Lackey in a matchup of hurlers with similar styles, Beckett is a bonified post-season pitcher and with the exception of one hickup down the stretch (5HRs in his second-to-last start of the season) Buchholz has been a complete shutdown pitcher the last 2 months. If this one goes 4 games, the Red Sox may be in trouble as they lack both the offense and the bullpen to stand up to the Angels offense in a longer series.

Dodgers in 5. Closest matchup of the first round, Dodgers are a deeper team and Carpenter is not a pitcher who can start twice and come out of the bullpen; Cards are not a deep pitching team and Pujols will not carry them past LA.

Phillies in 4. Despite the 4-game series, this one is as much of a mismatch as the Twins/Yanks. The only chance Colorado has is to force the Phils to the bullpen early in games 1 and 2 and take one of the two.

Yanks > Red Sox (Sadly.)

Dodgers > Phillies

Yanks < Dodgers

16. Twins over Angels? No way.

Sure the Twins have the awesome duo of Mauer and Morneau but the Angels have the whole Adenhart scenario fueling their mojo. My prediction is a freeway series but Angels v. Phils would be a great one too.
