Speaking even as a member of the Facebook/Twitter/internet meme-addicted Generation Y, I do think the zombie in-joke has reached the overkill saturation point. It was hilarious when it was more random, like the geek who reprogrammed road signs to say "DANGER! ZOMBIES AHEAD!!!", but now for the most part it's tired. "Zombieland" was pretty funny, though.
