Michael Jackson's kids raise money to buy mechanical legs for two-legged puppy
Say what you want about Michael Jackson...if his kids have it in their hearts to take something like this on as their mission, he did his job as a father. If you lack compassion for ANY living thing on this earth, you SUCK...and these kids are filled with compassion.

Jackson Kids Take on Canine Crusade

Posted Oct 10th 2009 3:25PM by TMZ Staff

Here's a tug on the heartstrings: Michael Jackson's kids saw a sad, two-legged puppy on the news ... and now they're trying to raise money to buy it new mechanical legs.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/10/10/jackson-kids-take-on-canine-crusade-two-legged-dog-paris-michael-jr-blanket/

According to sources close to the family, Jackson's oldest son Prince and daughter Paris saw the dog -- a puppy named Scooby-Roo -- on the news recently -- and were so moved they decided to help raise the $2,000 necessary to buy it a custom-made cart to help it walk.

We don't know how close they are to their goal -- but seeing as they're the most famous kids on the planet, we're guessing it won't take them too long to reach it.

3. They can worry about global warming and Wall Street when they're adults...
...you nailed it, my friend..."humane children"...ANY kid who looks outside of their own desires is deserving of applause.

7. why do they need to "raise the money" ?
Can't they just write a check? Instead they're going to have a bunch of people who aren't wealthy chip in $10 or $20 each...

10. Yeah, not alot of 11 and 12 year olds can whip out the old checkbook
Not even if they stand to inherit millions (billions?) from Daddy's estate.
Very sweet kids, their hearts are in the right place. :loveya:

12. well, they told their press agent to put this word out
why can't they tell their accountant to write a fucking check? Because it wouldn't get them any publicity...

It's not just them... tons of celebrities do this shit... they "lend their name" to a cause, but the actual money ends up coming from the masses. I mean, it's better than doing nothing, but it just seems like they rarely put their OWN money where their mouth is.

Don't mind me... I'm just cranky and stressed at the moment.

13. It would seem like they wanted to but perhaps grandparents, or accountant advised differently
I think that these kids' hearts are in the place . I don't think they are allowed to make financial decisions on their own yet

11. there are acually a number of two-legged dogs...
http://www.google.com/search?q=two-legged+dog&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

most of them adapt to their circumstances fairly well- and trying to slap some mechanical legs on them might actually be more traumatic for the animal.
